Some time ago we discussed effective copywriting for e-commerce. Then we concentrated on effective copywriting for regular websites, which – as we have already said – works as a marketing tool encouraging visitors to buy our products or benefit from our services. So far we’ve managed to discuss seven rules:
Rule No.1 Reflecting the Offer
Rule No.2 Define Target Audience
Rule No.3 Point out Advantages
Rule No.4 Be Fresh
Rule No.5 Reviews
Rule No.6 Realizations
Rule No. 7 Face to face
Lets’ find out what has left:
Rule No. 8. Dedicated subpages
If we offer vast variety of products or services we ought to advertise and recommend them well. We can use downloadable files to provide our prospective customers witch all necessary details or create dedicated subpages… Instead of serving visitors long and unclear offer’s description you can divide your whole offer into some categories that will be described separately on a different subpage each. There are many possibilities of offer division. It can be done accordingly to the types of products or targeted audience’s characteristics. The key is to describe each category clearly and with all details necessary in decision making process.
Rule No.9. Home
Concentrated on reflecting the offer properly, as well as defining target audience, pointing out various advantages of offered services and products, keeping the website up-to-date, including customers’ reviews and opinions, describing realizations, introducing prospective customers with the staff and having the offer divided into clear and understandable categories we ought to remember about the main page. “Home” is the first page our customers see. It must be attractive and interesting. If the content displayed on the main page is poor the visitors won’t be interested in visiting the rest and – very probably – will never visit the website again.
Armed with the nine rules of effective copywriting you will be able not only to create interesting and informative content, but also create a good website tree, which will be very helpful in creating and developing your website. The rules will also help you to keep the web vivid and interesting for returning visitors who will start visiting it more often to get new information about the company, available products or services as well as all news from the line of business.
